- Obama's Nomination Acceptance Speech Watch Party will be held at the Round Up Saloon, located at 3912 Cedar Springs Rd., Dallas, TX 75219, on Thursday, Aug. 28, from 7 to 11 p.m. This is a free event. Sen. Barack Obama is planning to give his historic speech that night at mile-high stadium in Denver and it will be televised throughout the nation. Stonewall is planning a watch party for the LGBT community.
- United for Obama, an LGBT Fundraiser for Obama will be held at the Round Up Saloon, located at 3912 Cedar Springs Rd., Dallas, TX 75219, on Sunday, Sept 7, from 6 to 10 p.m. This is a free event, but donations will be asked at the door for Sen. Obama's presidential campaign. We will have entertainers (singing and dancing) as well as local political stars. .
- Stonewall General Meeting in September will be held at Ojeda's Restaurant, located at 4617 Maple Avenue, Dallas, TX 75219 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. At this meeting we are planning to have Sen. Royce West of Dallas. This African-American legislator is one of the county's leaders and we would like him to meet with our LGBT African-American community's leaders.
